Michiana Elite Bird Fair 2011 Reaches Goal
The Michiana Elite Bird Fair 2011 hosted by Royal Wings Aviary was a huge success! We were able to donate over $3,000 to the Potawatomi Zoo and endangered bird species. This is a donation we feel benefits our society. We would like to thank all of the wonderful vendors, sponsors, our featured speaker Dr. Peter Sakas, and guests who helped make the Michiana Elite Bird Fair 2011 such a great success.
Michiana Elite Bird Fair 2011 Held at Penn High School
Royal Wings Aviary hosts the Michiana Elite Bird Fair every March in Mishawaka, Indiana. Our 2011 Michiana Elite Bird Fair was held March 19, 2011, at Penn High School in Mishawaka, Indiana. It was 3 times larger than any bird fair in the Michiana area with over 30,000 square feet of vendors and displays. The focus was not only to raise money for the Potawatomi Zoo and endangered bird species but also to provide an opportunity for quality family time, something our society so often is lacking these days.
Michiana Elite Bird Fair Details
The silent auction at the Michiana Elite Bird Fair 2011 included many certificates for fine dining, make-overs, gps, blue-ray players, jewelry, golf packages, bowling certificates, pet boarding, microwaves, a paint package and ladder, signed Notre Dame memorabilia, bird toys, a large bird cage, and bird seed. There was free face painting for children, as well as free balloon sculptures. Dr. Peter Sakas was our featured guest and Ask-a-Vet. Visitors saw many bird species from finches to macaws and even heard talking parrots. There was a big selection of bird toys, cages, perches, bird seed, and other bird-related products, as well as beautiful Brazilian quilts and even jewelry.
