    • Barbara,
I would recommend a baby. That way you can “mold” him into the little companion you want him to be. We have babies that we will be pulling to handfeed in about a week. Pam Sysinger

      • Hi! I am looking for a baby parrotlet that I can raise so it will be attached to me and not other birds. Are you parrotlets for sale already attached to the other birds? Thanks! And where are you located?

      • I am looking to acquire a baby male parrotlet – prefer blue color- just for a pet- any available? Please let me know and I will reserve-
        Jill

        • Jill,
I have no handfed baby parrotlets available at this time. I am hoping to have some baby parrotlets soon. Pam Sysinger

    • Hi Pam,

I thought I would get back to you again. Do you have any blue male baby parrotlets available now? I am really very interested.

      Thank you.

      Toni

  1. looking for hand fed baby parrotlet. my wife and i are familiar with the breed. my father had a parrotlet recently that past away. short story is that my father bonded with the bird and his heart was crushed when “boo”.past away. Please help us find another buddy.

    • Michael
We have baby parrotlets in the nest boxes and will be pulling them to hand feed in a week or week and a half. We also have some Fall females available. Pam Sysinger

  2. I see you are going to have babies soon which is great! Can I ask where you are located? I am looking for a baby that I can pick up rather than ship.

    • We are located near South Bend, IN. It is definitely better to pick up a baby rather than ship if at all possible. Pam Sysinger

  3. Was wondering if you had any handed baby parrotlets available. Trying to find breeders having difficult time. Im in Lowel Indiana.

    • We have 6 baby parrotlets. We pulled 3 two days ago to handfeed, and 3 are still in the nestbox. Parents are American white and blue pied. Pam Sysinger

  4. Please contact me and tell me of any female parrotlets that you may have for sale. do you pictures that you can send? Please tell me of the cost and shipping. Thanks. March 9

    • Bob,
We have blue, green, yellow, and blue pied female parrotlets currently available. The blue, yellow, and green are $150. The pied females are $200. Pam Sysinger

      • Thanks for your prompt reply. could you send me pictures, please of your females that are available? I am interested in seeing all colors as I have not made up my mind to breed with my male. I have to say that a heavily pied female sounds interesting, but would like to see all. My male is too young to breed right now, being only 3 or 4 months of age. Before buying any bird I would like to see a picture of it. Many thanks.

        Bob

  5. Looking for one that would be a good pet, would like a blue color but tameness would be most important. Also , the price range. Thanks for your time. Trudy

    • Laurie,
We have female pieds, green female and males, and one baby female blue pied just recently weaned. We also have 3 baby males we just started handfeeding, blue, blue pied, and ? as the third hasn’t feathered enough to tell yet. Pam Sysinger

  6. Hi,

I am interested in a Parrotlet and I live in Austin Texas. What is your current availability and also the prices?

I lean towards a green one but really am looking for a little companion that will keep me company. I am a disabled vet and think these are so cute!

    Thank you, Mark Taylor

    • Mark,
We ship during warm weather. Currently we have one light blue female weaned about 4 weeks ago and 2 males (blue and blue pied) that we are hand feeding right now (almost weaned). We also have blue pied females from previous clutches and a couple of green parrotlets that were not hand fed. Pam Sysinger

  7. Do you have any older female parrotlets available? Color is not a priority – I have a young male (approx. 2 yrs old) that recently lost his partner, and is very lonely.

    • We have a green female about a year old, not handfed. We also have 2 unpaired females, blue and green, not handfed, but I am not sure of age. Pam

    • We have 2 babies just weaned: 1 blue male; one blue pied male. Also, we have some blue pied females from previous clutches, a blue female (not handfed), a green female (not handfed), and a couple of green males (not handfed). Pam

  8. Are there any parrotlets for sale still? If there’s any left, how much are they?

    Thank you,
    Kayla G.

  9. I am looking for a baby pacific blue, or blue pied, hand-fed parrotlet. Do you have any for sale now or which will be available at the end of the month? Do you ever ship your birds? Please advise. Thank you, Mary Ann N

    • Mary Ann,
We have one blue (not handfed) female parrotlet and a few blue pied female parrotlets from previous clutches (handfed) available currently. Pam

  10. Hi, we are wanting a female blue parrotlet! We promised our girls one for Easter and some of the local bird stores near us do not have any and are not expecting any. If you have any please let me know! Thanks so much!!!

  11. We have a female blue pacific parrotlet just two weeks ago our blue pacific parrotlet passed on and she is devastated. We are looking for another blue pacific parrotlet male around 2yrs old because she’s around 2 maybe older and our birds were beginning to mate before he passed. We live in southern California and want to have young ones if possible. Thank you

    Regards,
    Mike and Mary Culver

  12. What do you have available in your parrotlets? Looking for a young male for a pet.
Had a female years ago, she passed and I have always wanted another. Are males as sweet as the females? Would want to pick it up, no shipping Thanks

    • Maria,
We have a couple of pairs on eggs right now, both proven, so I would hope to have baby parrotlets within the next week or two. Pam

  13. Would love to get a blue in coloring baby parrotlet. From the comment above, I see you currently have some parrotlets as eggs. Once hatched and matured a few weeks, I would love to put a deposit down on one. Can I be put on a waiting or contact list of some sort? Thanks. I am only an hour away for pickup.

  14. I was wondering if you have baby parrotlets that could be put in a pair? Also, is there a cheaper price for a pair like a discount?

    • You would need birds from 2 different clutches to make a breeding pair, so that is possible. Our prices are listed on our website. Yes, if you buy a quantity of birds price would be negotiable. Pam

  15. Was Intersted in a baby parrotlet for my son for his bday? If someone could contact me by email or # 2194279880 whether any are available now? Thank you nichole

  16. I am interested in buying a baby parrotlet, I would prefer to pick one in person. I would like to see the different personalities and colors for myself if possible. Was curious if that was possible? Thanks so much!
    -Carrie

  17. Looking for a baby male dark like cobalt blue parrotlet that is hand feed and friendly do you have any or some that will be available soon?

  18. Do you still have baby parrotlets available? After this bunch how often will you have baby parrotlets available? I am interested in getting one but it may not work out immediately. Thank you

    • Males and females both make good English Budgie pets. However, people you might have a better chance of teaching a male to talk, although not all of them will talk. Pam

  19. Hello! I am looking for a hand raised parrotlet– I have owned cockatiels and finches before but this will be my first parrotlet– color and gender (and even age) is not as important as temperament, just want a nice, sweet bird– have you any that fit the description?

  20. Hello! I’m looking for a parrotlet. Please let me know if you have any available. If you can email me or provide your email address that would be great. I can put the money on one and local pickup right away.

  21. Hi – I am looking for a young, light blue hand-fed female parrolet from a reputable breeder. I have had birds in the past, but no parrotlets. I understand if they are handfed and socialized, they are affectionate and fun. Also, how much do you charge for shipping? I live in Richmond, Virginia. thanks for responding

  22. Hi Pam ! Do you have any male parrolets 6 months or older for sale ? If so what color, what age and how much?

    Thanks
    Paula noble

  23. I would love a dilute yellow male parrotlet. I am in Michigan between Grand Rapids and Lansing. How are these babies shipped and what is the cost? How would you be paid?
    Thank you for your time.
    Cheryl Powell

    • Cheryl,
I would recommend picking up your little guy. We are right at the Michigan line. You are welcome to call to set up an appointment. (574) 273-1767 Pam

  24. I am currently looking to buy a bird and have a few questions. First I know in some species males are more aggressive than female or vise-verse. Is the male or female more aggressive than the other when it comes to parrotlets?
    Thank you :)

  25. Dear pam :

I am looking for a baby male blue pied parrotlet, would like one with a lot of spotting, as a pet for future breeding. Do you have any available, how much are they, and what is the cost of shipping to Colorado? Thank you,
    Sincerely,
    Vicki l Hodges

    • Vicki,
We have a good selection right now. I sent you pictures via e-mail. Weather permitting, we do ship. We use United Pet Safe. Pam

  26. i live in illinois and was wondering is it to cold to ship at this time of the year. Would love to buy a female for my granddaughter for Christmas. Thank you

    • Annette,

  27. Hi there,

I’m currently looking into purchasing one or two parrotlets, but probably not until sometime after June. I’d love to talk with you more about your birds and what set-up I currently have in my home. Please feel free to email me when you have a chance.

    Bests and Happy Holidays!
    Katherine

      • Hi Pam,

Unfortunately, I won’t be looking for anything immedate since i just lost my handsome cockatiel of 14 years quite suddenly. I need to spend some more time morning his loss and building my 18 x 18 x 31 cage into a lovely home for two parrotlets. Also, my fiance doesn’t believe me when I say these cuties are quieter than our tiel.

        Bests,
        Katherine

        • Katherine,
Parrotlets are definitely quieter than most tiels. However, males can be taught to talk as you can see on YouTube. Pam

  28. My parrotlet died Christmas eve. She was with us for 11 wonderful years. She was so lovable and amazing and already we miss her terribly. We would like to get another parrotlet. Since she was green, I would rather have a bird of a different color. Please let me know if you can be of help. Thanks so very much.

  29. We lost our little green parrotlet several weeks ago and have been devastated! Want another baby male so would you please let me know what colors you have available? We have a blue female but our little guy talked and she doesn’t! We live in Mississippi and can no longer locate the breeder in Texas that I bought our previous babies. Was thrilled when I located your aviary! Of course he will have to be shipped and am wondering in cold weather if it is advisable. Please send me information on what you have available and shipping advise. Thank you, Joan Cole

    • Joan,
We have a good selection of parrotlets currently, including blue, blue pied, and a beautiful green pied. We do not ship when the weather is extremely cold as it is currently. Pam

  30. Hello and Happy New Year!

Parrotlets are adorable. I’d like to purchase one, preferably in Blue or Pied. Please let me know if you have some available, or when you might have some available. Providing pictures and prices would be wonderful.

    Thanks so much!
    Patricia

  35. Hi- I’m interested in a Parrotlet for my daughter. I really like what I read on your website about your aviary, but I live in Hawaii. Would you ship to Hawaii?

  36. Hi I am looking to purchase a baby parrotlet. When will you have babies available in the next two months? I was also curious if you will have any Quaker babies in that same time frame?
    Thank you

    • Katherine,
We have 4 beautiful, sweet blue Quakers weaned about 4 weeks ago. We also have a good selection of parrotlets, including blue, blue pied, and babies from green/blue parents. Pam Sysinger

  37. This may sound stupid, however I need to know if the parrotlet is in the same family as the Lovebirds? I have a male peach faced lovebird, for which I would like to obtain a companion. Would another male parrotlet be a good companion or would it be preferable to stay with “lovebird” and if so would two males bond eventually?

    • Sally,
I would not mix lovebirds and parrotlets even though both are considered aggressive birds. I would recommend another lovebird. Two males maya get along. It depends on how aggressive they are. Pam Sysinger

  38. Hello,

We live in Arkansas and after almost a year of research we have decided the Parrotlet would be the best bird for our family. I was wondering of you had any for sale and if so do you ship ? TY In Advance

  39. Hi Pam! I am looking for a blue pied female Partotlet for my 6 month old male. I live in Ypsilanti MI, can a bird be shipped to me ?

    • Paula,
Normally, we ship longer distances. I would have to check on shipping to Ypsilanti. However, you might want to make a road trip and come to our Michiana Elite Bird Fair March 21 at Bethel College, Weikamp Athletic Center, Mishawaka, IN. 10-4 We will have a bald eagle from 12 to 2, award-winning nature artist Tim Marsh, Dr. Peter Sakas, DVM, from Niles, IL, and Dr. Ric Berlinski, DVM, from the Toledo Zoo. We also have a great silent auction and Tim Marsh will be having special drawings for 4 of his prints. Pam Sysinger

  40. My parrotlet, Captain, was 16 years old when he died about 3 1/2 years ago. I really want to get another baby to love and be a part of my family. I’m interested in getting a green male. Do you have any available?

    • Michelle,
I just sold the little green male I am hand feeding. We have a little blue female, his sibling, and other 2015 parrotlets (mostly pieds) available. We should be having more in the near future. Pam Sysinger, Royal Wings Aviary and Michiana Elite Bird Fair (574) 273-1767

      • Well shucks. I’m definitely interested in a green male, so when you have another one in the future please keep me in mind. Thanks so much!

CAN YOU TELL ME HOW OLD SHE IS?
ALSO, THE RIGHT LEG HAD THE TWO OUTER TOE NAILS MISSING, FRONT AND BACK.
    WILL THEY GROW BACK?
SHE NAVIGATES THE CAGE JUST FINE, LIKE A NORMAL BIRD.

  46. Hi. Just wondering. Do you guys ship the birds? If so at what cost? Also how much of a deposit do you require? I was looking for a baby blue female parrotlet.

    • Shipping has been running $155-$165 continental U.S. via Delta plus $20 new carrier. Deposit on a baby is half cost of baby. Our blue parrotlet females are $175. Pam Sysinger

      • OK. Thank you for your response. Do you guys take payments? If not i will have to come back when i have more money.

  47. Hello do you have any sea foam baby parrotlet for sale . And also any babies cockatiel for sale too. Please let me know what you have . Thank you

    • Monica,
I have blue, green, and blue pied parrotlets available. The last clutch I am handfeeding is from a yellow male and a blue pied female, but no seafoam. I have no baby tiels available currently. Please check back. Pam Sysinger

  48. I am looking to buy a parrotlet asap. I have been looking at different birds for a few mos, also researching & have taken a test about what I want in a bird & which bird would be the best for me. Parrotlets came out as the best ione. But I haven’t been able to find a hand-fed weaned baby.

I have children 9 & 12, 2 calm small dogs (that love cats, we used to breed ragdolls) & 1 old Ragdoll cat that doesn’t have claws. The parrotlet would be in my room & would be supervised by me when anyone else is with it.
I have owned a cockatiel & LOVED it! So I’m really looking forward to having another feathered friend!
Please advise & contact me ASAP.
    Thank you!

  51. I am looking for a male pied, Do you ship to Tucson International with United/Continental? What do you have available now? I am a bit hard of hearing but my # is 520-310-3244 if you want to talk

  52. I am looking for a baby male parrotlet. Almost completely white body with a turquoise or blue head or forehead. You have one in the picture right before all the baby photos on this site. Cynthia

    • Marilyn,
I have blue and blue pied female parrottlets currently. Shipping has been running $155 continental U.S. via Delta plus $20 carrier. Pam Sysinger

  53. My 7 year old male parrotlet died last week. It was a terrible surprise. He was bonded with my 7 year old female. They are not handled a lot. He was very protective of her. I am thinking of getting another parrotlet because she seems very sad and keeps calling for him. Is it a good idea to get another bird since she is 7? Do you have any parrotlets that would be a good match for her? I think I would like an older bird. She is a very nice and gentle bird. I live in Maryland. Thank you for any suggestions. I appreciate it very much

    • Deanna,
Most of my older parrotlets are not sweet and gentle since I don’t have them out as pets, but they still like being talked to. However, they are capable of bonding with your female. It depends how picky she is after losing her long-time partner. Pam Sysinger

  54. Hi Pam. I live in California and am interested in a baby Parrotlet. We lost ours a few months ago. Very sad. Can you let me know what you have available. The shipping part makes me a little nervous. But, they are amazing birds and very hard to find out here. Thanks!

    Ken

    • I have one handfed male, green pied, from a Spring clutch, that would be a nice pet. I do have others from Fall and Spring that were handfed but would need to be worked with but have no babies currently. Pam Sysinger

  55. I was wondering if your company would be willing to make a trade. I have acquired a lovebird, male, blue with black head. He is pretty well behaved but is not overly friendly. Was looking to get a baby that I could have a closer relationship with. He is quiet at night and does not bite. I thought he could be a breeding father. Let me know what you think. Would not mind some kind of deal. Thanks so much. Beth

    • Beth,
I am sorry, but I do not trade birds. I do have black mask blue lovebirds, dilute lovebirds, peachface lovebirds, and pied peachface lovebirds available. Pam Sysinger

  56. I’m looking for a blue male parrotlet. As young as possible. I live in Florida and was wondering how shipping would work. Please let me know price and availability. I’m not sure how you take payment either.

    • Rane,
I have one blue male parrotlet available. He is a nice bird. I can take a credit card or PayPal if you would like him before Christmas. I ship via Delta. Please give me a call at (574) 273-1767 to discuss details. Thanks. Pam Sysinger

  57. Hi, I was wondering how many handfed female blue or blue pied parrotlets you have and what the cost would be. I live in Mississippi and wondered if you were still shipping and about what the cost would be. Thank you so much!

    • Hannah,
I have several blue and blue pied female parrotlets available. They are normally $175, but if you are wanting a quantity we can talk. I am still shipping via Delta. (574) 273-1767 Pam Sysinger

  58. Hello, I am interested in adopting a baby pied blue male parrotlet. I see you visit the Rolling Meadows show sometimes, that would be a perfect meeting spot since I live in Chicago.

    Thanks,
    Peter

    • Peter,
I have no baby parrotlets available currently although I should have some later this Spring. (574) 273-1767 Pam Sysinger

  59. Hi. I was wondering if you have any female parrotlets? I have lonely male that use to be a breeder. He is very untamed and I was hoping to get him a friend. Thank you.

  60. Pam,

I have been reading a lot about Parrotlets but I am still having trouble understanding why some people are pretty adamant about obtaining a baby parrotlet when a handfed parrotlet would likely already be tame and able to be handled. Is it a bonding thing? Is a baby going to be much more strongly bonded than an already tame hand-fed baby parrotlet? Just curious about that and interested in a tame female parrotlet. Could you send me any pictures of any available girls you have at the moment? Thanks, I would be coming from Ann Arbor.

    • Parrotlets need to be consistently handled to stay nice. A handfed baby can be “molded” the way you want and should bond with you. That is why people prefer babies. I only have 3 females available currently, blue and green. However they are 2015 birds. Pam Sysinger

  61. Thanks Pam, how often do you have babies? I’m in no rush to acquire a parrotlet but would like to have one this year, eventually. Is there a waitlist or way to place deposit for a baby girl? Thanks!

  62. Hi,
I’m looking to buy a blue Parrotlet. I’m not too picky on if it is an adult or baby so long as it is fairly calm and is at least comfortable “stepping up” I’m going to try to make it to the bird show. If I can’t, do you have any available now? What is the price range?
    Thanks!

    • H.J
I have no baby parrotlets available currently, but I do have some on eggs. Handfed males are $250 and females are $175. Pam Sysinger

      • Pam, how would I go about leaving a deposit for on one of the eggs, female? Thanks. Feel free to e-mail me. Thanks!

  63. How much do you charge for your green, Pacific Parrotlets? I am looking for a baby male bird. Do you ship? I live in Sacramento, California.

    • Beth, I am hoping to have baby parrotlets available in the near future. I have no Princess of Wales parrots available currently. Pam Sysinger

  64. I’m looking for a male parrotlet. I’m not extremely picky on color, but I like brighter colored blues, greens, and turquoise. No pied, dilute, or dull colors. Do you have any available?

    • Lee,
I have parrotlets on eggs currently and hope to have babies soon. Let me know if you want to place a deposit. Pam Sysinger

    • Michele,
I have no parrotlet babies available currently. I am hoping to have some soon, however. My females are $175, and males are $250. Pam Sysinger

  65. I’m looking for a single female breeder that has lost its breeding pair. I have recently lost my female and its devastating. I know you are selling hand feed babies but I’m just interested in a mature female that would bond once again with my yellow male.
If you could guide me to a site or maybe you are selling an older female would be great

  66. I am interested in purchasing a baby boy Parrotlet. I live in Philadelphia, PA, would you be able to ship? If so what would the total be then? Thanks in advance!

    • Jacqueline,
I have 2 baby parrotlets that I have been hand feeding. One is blue pied and one is green. Both are males. You can contact me at (574) 273-1767. Pam Sysinger

  67. I am looking at a parrotlet for a pet to bond to me. I need help with selection and care.
I want one to be able to handle and to maybe train to talk. I want a really pretty blue one or a turquoise one. If you have pictures of one for sale or some help for me please text me at 740-656-0868. Thank you. Barbara

    • Barbara,
I currently have 2 handfed male parrotlets available. One is blue pied and one is green (slightly pied). I would be glad to send pictures. Please feel free to call me at (574) 273-1767. I have not advertised these babies yet. Pam Sysinger

  68. Hello! I’m interested in purchasing a blue pied parrotlet baby! I live in Louisville ky and would be interested in shipping! Wanting to know if you currently have any babies for sale? I would like a blue pied but I’m open to any other colors!
    Thanks!

    • Kyla,
Currently I have only a green male parrotlet baby available. He was weaned about 4 weeks ago. Please give me a call at (574) 273-1767. Pam Sysinger

  69. Hello my name is Jeannie and i’m interested in one of your birds how much are they and do you have any other birds avaible and where are you located….?

I am extremely interested in buying a baby Parrotlet from you and I live in NYC so I will need shipping. You were referred to me by a friend who bought a bird from you. I want the Turquoise Pied or Marbled in the show bird breeds. Can you please tell me their prices and the differences between females to the males. Can you also tell me the estimated shipping cost?

Turquoise and other variations normally run $300 to $400 depending on what they are. I do ship via Delta, as they are excellent with birds and ship them in a climate controlled compartment. 81. Hello. I’m interested in a baby parrotlet but won’t be able to purchase until the winter or maybe even next summer. Two quick questions: Do you breed green-rumped parrotlets or Pacific? And are purchases in person OK, or do you only ship? (I live in Kenosha, WI, and would prefer to drive and save on shipping costs.)

    Thanks!
