    • Lori,
There will be several vendors at the Michiana Elite Bird Fair on March 24, 2012, who have parrotlets. You will be able to find handfed parrotlets in a variety of colors. Yes, handfed baby parrotlets do usually make adorable pets.

  1. Hi, i got your name from Bonny in Chicago and i am looking for a rosie bourke parakeet. Are your rosies hand tamed and how old are they? Do you have them available now or when will they be weaned? I don’t have a lot of time to hand tame them, but if they are already tame i can spend time with them every day during my daily activities. I work the 3-11 shift so i would not be able to take them out when i get home, but the mornings and weekends would give us time to spend together. Thank you for your response.

    • Michelle,
Royal Wings Aviary has many young handfed birds for sale presently. However, we do not have any Rosie Bourkes right now. I am just in the process of putting nest boxes on for many of our parrots, as they have had a rest over the winter. You will want a handfed baby that is weaned. That way you will not have to take the time to hand tame your pet. We should have baby Rosie Bourkes later this Spring. Please check back with us.

  2. hi was interested in the macaws, you have one male 800.00 and 1 female 600.00,are they able to be handled? and what are theirs ages?im interested if still available, thanks danny 901-299-9767

    • Danny,
The male is a pet, about 12 years old, and is out most of the time. However, he is cage territorial. The female was a handfed pet. She is about 6 years old and has decided she wants a man. She is beautiful but has the attitude of a breeder bird.

  3. Can’t believe I wasn’t aware of the bird fair at bethel college…I live right off Logan Street about 4 blocks away from bethel…ugh. I have been reading quite a bit about Quaker Parrots and am very interested in purchasing one but have been all over online looking for somewhere somewhat close because I’m not too keen on the shipping a future pet thing (no offense to anyone meant of course). I cant believe you were right down the street from me just days ago…could you relay any info to me on reputable breeders that I could purchase a quaker from that is possibly within a couple of hours from mishawaka or closer? I’d so appreciate it. Thanks so much!…..Erin

    • Erin,
You should have caught the one that got loose at Bethel. Did you see him on the news? They nicknamed him “Larry Bird” because he was in the Weikamp gym. He was finally caught after 5 days.
We go the a monthly fair in Rolling Meadows, IL. Pecan Acres has beautiful quakers–all colors. They usually are there. The next Rolling Meadows fair is next weekend, April 14, always the second Saturday of the month. Hours are 10 to 3, and they are an hour behind us in time.
Please send me your address, and I will send you a post card reminder for our next fair. Put March 23, 2013, on your calendar. We should be right down the street from you again.
We had a great turnout and raised a lot of money for the zoo an endangered bird species. We had great certificates from quality area restaurants, golf courses, and businesses, as well as seed, cages, bird toys, and even finches in the silent auction.
There were almost 50 vendors there, and people received “shopping bags” donated by area banks as they came in.
I hope we see you at Rolling Meadows. Please stop and say hi. We are Royal Wings Aviary, Allan and Pam.
Take care. Pam, Royal Wings Aviary LLC, Michiana Elite Bird Fair, and Michiana Bird Fair

  4. I have been looking for an English budgie. I have read up on them and would love
to own one. Was wondering if you had any for sale at this time. I have looked and called anyone I can think of with no luck. If you have any, I would love to see them. I live in Mishawaka behind the Meijer on 331. You can leave me an e-mail at lauriev09@yahoo.com. Thank you so very much.

I am trying to convince my parents into letting me get the bird, we can easily afford if and I have multiple expirences myself with owning birds and realize it takes a lot of responsibility. If it isnt any trouble can you tell me some characteristics of the parrot, and if you can give me some advice on sweet talking my parents. :)

  15. Greetings,

Greetings, I hope this finds you very well. I am looking for a bird to love and nurture, with no preference to particular type (I used to raise birds when I was younger). I live in Chicago, and would love to visit if possible. Would you kindly contact me with more details? Thank You Sincerely.

    • James,
I am in the process of getting pictures of our babies on our website. If you see one you are interested in you are welcome to come meet him or her in person. Pam Sysinger

    • Wilma,
We normally go to the Gateway Parrot Club bird fair in St. Louis, MO, in late August. We do have some beautiful parrotlets, blues and pieds right now. Pam Sysinger

  16. Hi,

I had two Budgies, but my 15-year-old Budgie died not too long ago and I am looking for a new friend for my other guy. I am having a bit of a hard time finding English Budgies in my area- the breeder I originally purchased me old man from is no longer breeding. I am looking for a male English Budgie. Do you have any available and will you be in Michigan any time soon? Please let me know via email. Thanks!

    Ashley

    • Ashley,
We currently have one beautiful baby that we just weaned–too young to tell the sex, and some of our English budgies are on eggs. We have a few males available. We do not have any Michigan bird fairs scheduled yet. Thanks. Pam Sysinger

    • We have had a lot of people looking for blue males. We do not currently have any blue male babies. However, we will have more babies soon. Pam Sysinger

  17. Do you breed African Grey Timmehs? OR – do you know of anyone who does
breed them here in the south. I live in Gulfport, MS and would like to purchase
    a weaned baby. Margie

  18. Hello,

I am hoping to purchase one or two baby English budgies if you have them available– probably males; I live in southeast Michigan and wondered about picking them up as I don’t want them to suffer through shipping. Can you please let me know if you have these babies currently available– also approximate drive time from Clarkston, MI?
    Thank you.

    • Not sure where Clarkston is, but we are near South Bend, IN. We do have English Budgies, and you are welcome to come to pick yours out. Pam Sysinger

  20. I am interested in either a Green or Blue (first choice)hand fed baby male English Budgie. When will you have some available? Will look at other colors. Please advise. Morristown, In. 46161

  21. I’m looking to buy 2 black masked lovebirds, one male one female.
Can you ship to Pittsburgh Pa. What type of payment do you except.
Will be looking for your response.
    Thank you for your time.

  22. Hello. I am looking for 2 young pair of unrelated Rose Bourkes. Do you have any available? I am also looking for Blue Sable lovebirds unrelated pairs. Do you have any available. Thank you Cheryl

    • We have one young Rosey Bourke, not handfed and not sexed, available. We have 2 young female hybrid lovebirds available–parents a beautiful black mask violet male and a gorgeous lavendar and white Fischer’s dilute. She started laying eggs, and I couldn’t find a male, so I paired them. The babies are blue, not the turquoise of the normal blue black masks, and some are more dilute than others, showing Fischers characteristics. Pam Sysinger

      • If possible could you post a picture of any of the lovebird babies. Or on my face book under my husband Rod King. Also the Rose Bourke. Is is pink. How much are the lovebirds and the Rose bourke. Are they all this years babies or last years? Thank You, Cheryl

    • Laura,
Sorry, but we have no babies available right now. I can let you know when we do. Also, please feel free to check back. Thanks. Pam Sysinger

    Thank you!

    • Tiffany,
We have 3 available, a pied, a very light cinnamon (silvery shade), and charcoal. We are currently handfeeding an albino and have 2 babies in the nest box yet. Pam Sysinger

  24. would love to buy pair of english budges, plese tell what you have , an prices? we live near gaylord mi do you ship? thanks penni

    • Penni,
We have no handfed babies available right now. What exactly are you looking for? We are located on the Michigan/Indiana border, so it would be cheaper to pick your birds up than to have them shipped. Pam Sysinger

    • We have 3 yellow parrotlets we are handfeeding and two other parrotlets that recently have been weaned (heavily pied and blue). Pam Sysinger

  25. I am seeking a young male Scarlet Chested Grasskeet. Does not need to be hand fed as I wish to use him for breeding. I have a young hen.
I live in Central Ohio just east of Columbus, but do make trips to NW Indiana (where I used to live) several times a year.
Do you ever come to Ohio shows? Do you have SC grasskeet male available now or in the near future. What is you asking price?
Thank you, from a former Hoosier slowly transforming into a Buckeye.
    Virgil

    • Virgil,
We have no handfed babies currently and only one that was not handfed. It is very young. Please feel free to call or check back. Thank you. Pam Sysinger

  26. I just want to say that Pam at Royal Wings Aviary is very professional and has beautiful birds! I purchased two male cockatiels and two male parrotlets from her and they are so beautiful and sweet! I highly recommend this aviary! I would also like to say to Pam, I am looking for an unrelated female white face cockatiel from a different parents than the one I purchased from you. Thanks!!!!

    • Haley,
Thank you for the wonderful comments. I will e-mail you with more details, but we have two babies we just pulled to hand feed, three in one of the boxes, and one albino we just weaned. Pam Sysinger

  27. Hello pam
Im wondering if you still have any macaws for sale or might know a breeder that has any for sale. Please let me know. Thanks a million

  28. I am looking for a Cockatiel. Was wondering what kinds you have available, I am not looking for a specific gender. Also where are you located? I live in Chicago, IL.

    • Heather,
We have 8 little guys right now. 3 are not weaned yet, and one is just hanging in there more for attention than anything. I’ll also e-mail you. Pam Sysinger

    • Kim,
We sold our last two handfed blue Princesses in Chicago. We usually have blue handfed Princesses but have none at the present time. Pam Sysinger

  29. We are looking for a cockatiel for our kids. We live close by and wanted to come pick one out with the kids. Is that possible?

  30. My wife and I had 4 male English budgies but one of them died last week. Do you have any young, male English bidgies for sale?

    Thanks

      • I am looking for a normal English Budgie-male- a sky or something in the cobalt blue series. One that is real young and just eating on its own. and can be release for purcase.

I had a lutino dee[ yellow english budgie I trained to be a great pet. He past away unexpectedly 9-9-13 after 5-1/2 great years.

I understand that folks raising thesebrds are just setting up and none really available till later like Jan.lor Feb. or maybe around Christmas holidays. Please let me know if you might have something then or whenever.

I have some folks in my area notified but am always interested in
others. Many thanks in advance for this.

I live in the central Wisconsin area, but am always looking. So would like a new baby Englis Budgie to tame and have as a pet.

        Bill

  31. We are a very small supplier of feathers to mask makers, gourd artists, etc. We would very much like to purchase parrot feathers in good condition. We are two senior ladies, retired educators, who have been buying from independants for over 20 years and we are well known if you would like to have references. We’ve had two suppliers sell out recently. We are trying to replace them. Please email or call 406-363-8488 if you would be intersted in talking to us. We are interested in talking to you!

  32. Hi, I am wondering if you can send/or post pictures of the Parrotlet babies you have for sale? Also, what is the usual cost for shipping? Thanks!

    • Jo,
Currently, the rate is $125 for shipping (including carrier). We have green males and females (not handfed), blue females, yellow females, and heavy blue pied females (blue, grey, white). Pam Sysinger

    • David,
We have blue, yellow, green, and blue pied females as well as green males currently. We also have babies in the nestbox that will be handfed. Pam Sysinger

  33. We are interested in the budgies. My son has been wanting an American Budgie. Are there reasons you prefer raising the English over the American? We will be in the Michiana area for Christmas. Will you have any Budgies at that time?

    • Christina,
We currently have no babies available and won’t have any ready by Christmas. We prefer the English Budgies for size and character. Pam Sysinger

  34. I am looking for english parakeets and afemale rosie bourke and a female scarlet chested . Do you have any avaiable and price and do you ship?

    • Charles,
We have no baby English, Scarlet Chested, or Rosie Bourkes currently. We ship weather permitting. Please check back. Pam Sysinger

    • Yvonne
I sent you an e-mail. I will be pulling 4 baby parrotlets later this week to handfeed, but they won’t be ready for a few more weeks. The mother is American White and the father is blue pied. Pam Sysinger

  35. Not sure where my first post went. I am looking for a blue male parrotlet. My brother recently lost a bird, so my sister and I wanted to get him one for christmas. I have been reading about the parrotlets and it sounds like a great companion bird. Any help would be appreciated.

  36. DO YOU BREED QUAKERS? IF NOT, CAN YOU RECOMMEND A REPUTABLE QUAKER BREEDER IN SOUTHEASTERN MICHIGAN. WE LOST OUR 23 YR. OLD LAST YEAR AND ARE READY FOR ANOTHER.

    THANK YOU SO MUCH,

    BARBARA
    NOVI, MICHIGAN

    • I don’t know anyone who breeds Quakers in Southeastern Michigan. We have a blue male and a pallid blue female for sale. With so many birds they do not get the individual attention they deserve. Pam Sysinger

  37. I am interested in a PET parrotlet Male. I see you have some available. Do you ship? I live in Warwick RI PVD airport… If you dont ship do you recommend anyone in this area for a baby…?

    • Debbie,
We do ship, weather permitting. We will be pulling baby parrotlets to handfeed in about a week or so. Males go quickly, so I would recommend putting a deposit on a male. Once they start to feather, we will be able to tell which ones are males and which ones are females. I will be posting pictures and would also be glad to send them to you. Pam Sysinger

  38. Hi there. We are looking for a male English Budgie. I see that you may have babies you are handfeeding now. When would they be available, & would you know their colors yet? Thank you.

  39. Hi, we are searching for a sweet handfed cockatiel. Will you have any soon? We love whiteface tiels but will consider others. Thanks,
    Sherry

    • Kanitha,
We have blue black masked, dilute blue black masked, olive, and green peachface lovebirds currently. Pam Sysinger

  40. Hi, I’m looking for an extreme friendly and tame cockatiel and came across your site. I’ve looked around Massachusetts but haven’t found any birds that are tame enough – lots of birds that were hand fed, but not well socialized with people. I had my last cockatiel for 20 years and he was an awesome friendly bird.

How tame and friendly are your birds? Are they still handled after being hand fed/weaned? Approximately how much does it cost (container/shipping) to ship a cockatiel to another state? I’d like a cockatiel, preferably male, color doesn’t matter to me as much as a friendly personality. The sweeter the better!

    Thanks in advance,
    Tak

    • Our babies are handfed and spoiled rotten. We currently have lutino babies just weanted and a white faces (mostly white bodies), cinnamon pied or pearling on wings. We ship during warm weather. Pam

  41. Hi,

I was wondering if you carried any hand-fed Alexandrine Parakeets. If so, what price are we looking at and what would be the process of obtaining one, being that I live in Texas? Thanks.

  42. I am looking for a companion for my baby girl, an 18 year old POW. I wouldn’t mind an older bird in all reality, so that they are nearer to one another in lifespan. Do you have any older birds available ?

    • We have a blue handfed Princess of Wales born Spring 2014 available. However, we have no older Princesses for sale. Pam

  43. Hello,

I am interested in a love bird. I am looking for a tame love bird who wants a lot of attention. I am also wondering is it better to get one or two love birds? If I get two will they be less friendly when being handled? Thanks for your help!

Is there any way to see pictures? Also do you ship birds? Is that humane?
    Jaimi

    • We have the peachface variety lovebirds and blue masked lovebirds. There are pictures on our website. If you want the bird to bond with you, it is best to get just one. If you want them for companionship and enjoyment–more to watch–then two would be fine. They will bond more with each other than with you. We ship through United Pet Safe. It is humane; they are shipped in a pet carrier with a lot of good food in an environmentally controlled area. Pam

  44. do you have any fully yellow canaries as a m/f pair and if you do can you ship . pls send pics to my email if you have them

  45. Hi Pamela,
I’d like to purchase a blue black masked Lovebird. I’m looking for a male.
Can you email me with more information about them?
    Thank you so much!

  46. Look like you have some beautiful birds. I am interested in a male yellow or pied with yellow Parrotlet. Do or will you have any soon?

    Thanks Evelyn

    • Evelyn,
We have no yellows currently. However, we have a pair with 3 babies; dad is yellow and mom is blue pied. I will let you know if they have a yellow or yellow pied baby. Chances are no, but you never know. Our other yellows are taking a vacation right now. Pam

  47. I am looking to buy a blue or a blue pied parrotlet. How dangerous is it to ship a bird to New Hampshire or would you even do it? If not, do you know any breeders closer to my home area of eastern NH?

  48. Hello, I have talked to you not to long ago about parrotlets! I am looking for a male to pair with our beautiful green pied female who is 8-9 months old. Do you have any older parrotlets for sale?

    Thank you
    Paula Noble

    • Paula,
Sorry I didn’t reply sooner. My computer has been down for two weeks. It’s nice to be connected to the world again. Pam

    • We will no longer use United Pet Safe due to incompetence at our local airport. We will instead be using Delta Pet, a much more reputable, reliable, professional choice. We have a nice selection of blue masked lovebirds as well as baby dilute lovebirds currently. Pam

  49. We are looking for a young hand fed/socialized black masked blue lovebird. One that still has the black/dark coloring in the beak. Thanks. We are in La Porte, IN

  50. Hi Pam! Happy new year! I have a love bird who is purple and white with a dilute mask . She is about 1 year old. I am looking for a mate for her. Do u have any love birds that would be a good mate for her? She’s beautiful!! I sent a email also with her picture!

  51. Hello, and happy New year!

I’m looking to add a male budgie to my family. Your pictures are beautiful and I’m super interested, I’m trying to plan ahead and get information because I cannot find a parrot breader anywhere in Yuma az, so traveling/ shipping are my options. SoSky main question would be where are you located exactly and how much would it cost to ship a single budgie to Yuma, az. Thanks!

    • Daniel,
We do ship during good weather. We do not use United Pet Safe anymore, due to the unprofessional, untrained United clerks at our South Bend airport. We now use Delta. Shipping would run about $190 including carrier. We do have some beautiful young English budgies currently, including 4 that we just finished handfeeding. Pam

  52. I want a baby, Blue Parrotlet to to love and have as a companion. I have a friend that has one he is the sweetest little bird. I live in Burnsville NC 28714. How could I get one? Gerri

  53. We would like a hand fed hand tame male cockatiel. Where are you located ? Are you actually an aviary where I could bring my bird ?

  54. I would like to purchase about 5 English parakeets, however, I am in Washington, DC. Do you ship your birds? We have an aviary in a nursing home and our residents enjoy watching them. We don’t have a need for a hand fed bird, but enjoy the size and looks of the English parakeets.

  55. Good morning I was wondering which would be better for my nine year old son a parrotlet, English budgie, or cockatiel. He loves birds and would love to have one. He wants one that will cuddle and be his best friend. What do you think? Also I would love to have a blue quacker do you have any babies left?

    • Honestly, any of the three (parrotlet, English Budgie, or cockatiel) could be a good buddy. Birds have different personalities/temperaments just as humans have. We do have blue Quakers right now. Our number is (574) 273-1767. Pam

  56. Hi,
I have an timneh grey and was looking for a baby congo. Do you happen to have any for sale? If so what are the prices? I also live in northwest in.
    Thank you

  57. Dear Pamela,
My fiance and I have been talking about getting a new bird to add to our family, as we recently lost a well-loved parakeet. We also have a cockatiel and a GC conure, so we are looking for a small bird to join the “brood.” If you have any Bourkes, Scarlet Chested, or English Budgies available, please let me know! I We live in Chicago, so driving is not an issue.

  58. hi I live in Maine, am looking for a baby hand fed cherry head, and I was wondering if you may know anyone who breads in my area? Not too comfortable with having a baby bird shipped. I had a cherry head for years and years and she became ill, after a year of treatments she passed away. Now after years since shes been gone, I would love to have another. Any information in my area, of a breeder, who hand feeds, I will greatly appreciate!
    thanks very much
    Karen

  59. Hello!

My mother just recently lost her Bourkes Parakeet to a neurological issue. She has kept these birds for many years and would like to find her remaining female a new friend. She is located in Cadillac Michigan. What are the prices on your Bourke Babies? I assure you that your bird will be going into a loving home that knows how to properly care for them :)

    • Jim,
Currently we have a sweet handfed cinnamon cockatiel available. Unless spoken for we will be taking it to TASC Saturday, May 30. Pam Sysinger

  60. I’m looking to get either a Princess of Wales (normal or blue), or a white face pearl (silver or cinnamon) cockatiel. Having a hard time deciding what kind of bird fits what we’re looking for the best. Would love to have a conversation with you, but I can’t seem to get a hold of you by phone. I left a message, or you can email me back. Thanks!

  61. I believe I have a Princess Wales parakeet left to me. Is there a way to send a photo to verify if I am correct???
    Thank-you,
    Lee Ann Stone

  62. Hi there,

I’ve been researching budgies and have been considering a pair as a pet. I read that single budgies tend to bond more closely to their owners, but I also feel that it is cruel to keep one alone unless you can really spend reliable time with it each day. I am a young person and am working 5 days a week, so this is not feasible. However is it possible to do something like get one, allow it to bond with you, and then get it a companion later, or is that not feasible? I’m trying to make the best decision possible. Thank you!

    • I would think that would be a good plan. However, in the meantime, make sure you have plenty of toys to keep your new pet busy while you are working so it doesn’t get bored. Pam Sysinger

  63. Hello my name is Megan, and I am looking for a lovebird, will you have a bird show in Indiana or Ohio soon? your location in Michiana is to far away, please get back to me soon thanks

  64. Hello,

I am interested in buying a blue male parrotlet. It looks like you have handfed (blue) babies available now. I noticed your price list – but can you give me more information about shipping and shipping costs. I live in Oklahoma City, OK. Do you ship in the summer?

    Thank you.

    • Toni,
I have 2 blue and 2 green little guys that were not handfed. I also have babies in another nest box that I will pull and hand feed within the next week. There should be blue in that clutch also. Shipping via Delta has been running $155-165 continental U.S. plus $20 new carrier. Pam Sysinger

    • Katy,
I have blue black masks, peachfaces, and dilute masked lovebirds but no American cinnamon available currently. Pam Sysinger

  65. Hi! I’m looking for a blue male parrotlet with a sweet disposition. It looks like you might have one or more? Thank you!

  68. Hi! I am looking for a conure. My preference is a Pineapple Green Cheek, but I’m pretty open to any variety. I’m having the hardest time finding a local seller, or a rescue, and I keep running into Craigslist scams. I live in Bloomington, IN, and I could certainly make the drive up north to take in a conure if one is available. I’m trying not to spend more than $300 or so, including cage and toys. Please let me know if or when you might have any available, and what the cost might be. Thank you!

    • Heather,
I have 2 high red conures that were handfed Spring babies. One is pineapple like the mother and the other is the normal coloring with much more red like dad. You are within driving distance. Pam Sysinger

And I’m worrying about the distance, so are you gonna come to Illinois for shows any time soon? And do you know how long will it take to drive? Thanks!

    • Robin,
I have parrotlets and one baby cockatiel available currently. The last handfed parrotlet was weaned about 3 1/2 weeks ago. He is green pied, beautiful little male. The cockatiel I am handfeeding is white with pearling on the wings. You are probably 2- 2 1/2 hrs. from me. Pam Sysinger

  71. I was wondering if you have any available cockatiels? If not when will they be available. Thank you for your time and your beautiful birds!!

  72. Hi there, I am interested in a normal POW as well. I owned a female and found her to be a very loving bird. I am not sure how the males are in personality but would love to know your insight. Do you have any young ones available? If not, do you know when you might get a new nest? Thanks in advance.

    • Chad,
Presently I have one spunky female normal Princess available. None of my Princesses are on eggs right now, so I am not sure when I will have more available. Males also make good pets and can be taught to talk. Pam Sysinger

  73. Hi I am looking for a Pearl cockatiel with orange cheeks. I would love if they were cuddly and friendly. However, I live in Florida. How much would it cost for the bird and shipping?

  74. I am looking for blue colored parakeets. I will be looking to buy one in four weeks for a birthday present for my daughter. Do you ship, and is it safe?
    Thank you, Jessica Koehne

  75. Hi!. I am looking to buy an African Grey (Congo) around the end of December or beginning of January. I was wondering if you had any and the prices? Thanks!

  76. Hi,
Im looking for exotic lovebirds. A male and female possibly pied, spangled, dilutes mixtures. I don’t want brothers or sisters. I would want to mate a year later. Could you send pictures of the lovebirds you have available now? I can’t make tomorrows Rolling Meadows show I will be out of town.
    thank you

    Hi!
I was looking for some advice on pairing parrotlets. We have owned parrotlets for many years and have always had a pair of them (not to breed, just for company). I am a strong believer that birds should have a friend to interact with and that they should be able to fly. We lost our last pair of parrotlets last month very unexpectedly. Our male, Rio, got out on accident and we’ve been looking for him desperately. We think he landed on my dads bag as he was leaving for work and he didn’t notice:( our female, Tiki, passed away 3 days later. Extremely unexpectedly. She was not a healthy bird overall though. (We got her from a flea market type setting. She was in a cage with no pirches and she would hang on the side of the cage. Her feet were all bloody and one toe was obviously broken. The cages were so close together that the other birds were able to grab her feet and bite them. And we were looking for a parrotlet at the time and couldn’t leave her like that)
We got an offer from a sweet little girl that saw our lost bird signs in our neighborhood. She offered to give us her bird since she saw all the pictures of our outdoor aviary and that I am trying so hard to find our sweet Rio. She wants her to go to a home where she can have more room to fly and someone to spend more time with her. I haven’t given up hope of finding Rio but it’s been over a month almost two:( She offered to give us her 3 year old female parrotlet, Blueberry.
We haven’t decided if we are going to get her or not but if we did we would like to get her a friend. What advice do you have on pairing parrotlets? Ours have always been babies or a few months apart. Blueberry has been alone for 3 years would she like a friend or be better off alone? What age should the other parrotlet be? Does it matter if it’s male or female at that point? Or would a baby be okay with her? (We would keep them in separate cages until we know they are friendly with each other)
Thank you for your time! Sorry for the long message!

    • Kimberly,
Sorry about Rio–and Tikki. I would think Blueberry might get along better with a male about the same age, butI would not put a baby with her. You are welcome to call me at (574)273-1767. Pam Sysinger

  80. I am looking to give a wonderful home to a male English Budgie. My husband and I just married in October and both have fond memories of owning budgies as children. We love all birds and have decided together to adopt a budgie. My name is Jamie, I am 56, my husbands name is Dean, he is 63. We would travel to you to meet our new baby. We live in Menasha WI. Do you have any available for adoption?

  81. Hello, I contacted you in August about wanting an English Budgie for our daughter but the little ones were too new then. We will be back in Indiana again just after Christmas and I’m wondering if we might be in luck to get one while we are out that way? Hope to hear from you soon.
    Ann Bailey of Pocatello, Idaho

  82. I’m interested in buying a couple of budgies and am impressed by your website. Do you have any for sale? I’m a first-time bird buyer/owner to be, and understand budgies will be best for me.

    Caroline Lacey

    • Caroline,
I am taking deposits on babies that I will be handfeeding starting next week. I also have 2015 English that were not handfed. Please call me at (574) 273-1767. Pam Sysinger

  83. I noticed you are taking deposits for African Greys, I am wondering what the timeline on them being available and what the deposit/asking price will be for them. My wife and I have been looking and can’t seem to find anyone that isn’t a scam or out of state.

    • Matt,
I am not currently taking deposits on Congo Greys as I have none on eggs and have no babies available. Please check back with me. My babies are $1500. Pam Sysinger

  84. Good evening,

    thanks

    Tony

I have no Congo Greys available currently. I would be glad to put you on a waiting list. You can contact me at (574) 273-1767. Thanks. Pam Sysinger

  88. I’m interested in a male English budgie, hand fed, male. Prefer blue or some other interesting color (not crazy about green, yellow, or all white). I’m in northern IL. Do you have anything available or coming up that I could reserve? I would be glad to drive down or meet you at a bird fair.

Do English budgies talk better (or more likely to talk) than regular budgies? Also I was considering a quaker but from what I can find on the internet, the budgies seem to be more clear speakers and also the quakers seem moodier and can be more likely to bite. What are your opinions between the two types of birds? I’ve had budgies before and they were very sweet.

    • Diana,
I have had sweet Quakers as well as sweet English Budgies. I do not have any babies currently available, but I should have some soon. Please call me at (574) 273-1767. Pam Sysinger

  89. Interested in a wales parrot. Please email with information, as I’m having a hard time seeing your available or future princesses

    • Jerrica,
I have no baby Princesses available currently. Please watch the Royal Wings website or call me at (574) 273-1767. Thanks. Pam Sysinger

  90. I’m interested in finding a well-bred, hand-fed and social English budgie. I do travel some and the budgie will be cared for by my reliable pet sitter. Should I buy a pair, so they can keep each other company? Or will that cause them to be less social with humans.

I’m also curious about the shipping process. It seems like it would be very stressful for the bird.

    Thanks!

    • Brenda,
I have English budgie babies in the nestboxes right now. I will be hand feeding them. If you travel a lot, you may want a pair to keep each other company. If handled regularly they will still be nice pets. I use Delta Pet First to ship my babies. I would be glad to talk to you more. You can reach me at (574) 273-1767. Pam Sysinger

  91. Hi! I was wondering if you had any white face luteno and/ and or normal male Princess of Wales available now or in the near future? And if you ship, an approx price? One last question….do you think one of each, if they are brought up from babies, could or should share a cage? I’ve done some research but I can’t find any info on raising them from young together….
    Thank you so much, Kelly

    • Kelly,
I am hoping to have some baby cockatiels in the near future. I have no Princess of Wales available currently. I would not put a Princess and a cockatiel in the same cage. Pam Sysinger

  92. Do you know if you guys are going to have any blue and gold macaws for sale in the next michiana fair? If so I live in Michigan and I’m willing to drive out to Indiana to purchase one. please contact me

  93. Hi, Looking for hand fed normal scarlet chested, single or young pair.
    Also Rosey Burkes.
    Anything available.
    Thanks!

  94. Hello,

I was wondering which you would recommend for a family’s pet bird: a Budgie, a Cockatiel or a Parrotlet? I’ve had Budgies and Cockatiels in the past and was curious about Parrotlets? Thank you

    • Paula,
All three make good pets. Parrotlets are the smallest parrots in the world, small but mighty, and are considered aggressive birds, whereas budgies and cockatiels are more docile. If handfed, all can be good buddies and good pets. Pam Sysinger

  95. Hi , I am looking for a pair of English Budgies either in blue series or mauve . I don’t want hand reared I want a nice adult pair to breed myself. I am originally from England and I miss my budgies, and I’m so glad I found your site. Can you help me, and if so is it possible to get photos of what you have. I live in Phoenix Arizona so they would have to be shipped. Thank you.

  96. Do you have photos and information such as gender on all of your whitefaced birds that you have for sale?
    Thank you,
    Joy

    • Joy,
I have no whiteface cockatiels available right now. I am hoping to have some in a few weeks. Pam Sysinger

  99. Hi,

My name is Abby Kirk and I am a nurse at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. I was delighted to find your website. I have two dilute masked lovebirds which I am in the process of DNA sexing at the moment. I should know their genders for sure by the end of the week, but am very confident they are both girls. I love them! However I very much want to do some breeding. So I am searching for the right mates for them. I would like to pair them with white eye-ring colorful, hopefully friendly boys who would throw colorful babies. (I am not a personal fan of the albino look in lovebirds).

Fun fact – I actually went to Bethel College for my nursing undergrad! I was so blessed to go there and it was delightful to read of you doing the annual bird show there.

Please let me know what young/adult male lovebirds you have available and their prices. Would you be willing to ship?

    Thanks so much!

    Sincerely,
    Abby Kirk
    Please let me

  101. Hello – do you have any handfed bourkes or splendids available? Or will you have any soon?
I’m looking for a tame little friend for my bourkie. Thank you!

    • Chelsea,
I have no Rosey Bourke or Scarlet Chested Grass Parakeet babies currently. I have some pairs checking out boxes, however. I would be glad to put you on the list to let you know when babies are available. Pam Sysinger

  102. Hello, I was looking at purchasing a cockatiel in the future and was curious what the estimated shipping cost was to ship to Michigan?

    • Allie,
I have one baby cockatiel available. He should be ready in about 3 weeks. I would recommend picking up your baby if you live in Michigan, as shipping via Delta runs $155 plus $20 for a new pet carrier. Pam Sysinger
